Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot/Diagnose network issues escalated from the L1/L2 engineers and driving satisfactory resolution of the issues.
  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with international customers.
  • Educate & Review their respective team/individuals on their KRA goals & targets.
  • Ensure progress of cases through backlog review.
  • Identify Knowledge base availability & create/publish new Knowledge Base Articles.
  • To train engineers on topics that are identified by the escalation leads.
  • Share Engineer Scorecard within the team and enable individual awareness on their KRA goals.

 

Desired Profile:

  • 5+ years of experience out of which 1-2 years experience in a TAC environment for the Routing program
  • Ability to handle Client relationship & Team management


Technical skills:

  • Hands-on experience in OSPF, BGP, MPLS ,ARP,ARP architecture,DNS, DHCP.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical understanding of Networking concepts OSI, TCP and IP related L3 protocols(DNS, DHCP, IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP).
  • Good understanding of Ethernet, PPP, PPPoE, PPPoA and other WAN technologies.
  • Proven experience with data networks including physical layer infrastructure, servers, LAN/WAN hardware, software, data transmission facilities and interconnecting devices.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot various network problems using utilities like nslookup, traceroute, ping, net stat and packet sniffers like wire shark, tcp dump etc.
  • Solid understanding and troubleshooting skills in IPSec VPN technologies, Clustering and High Availability (HA) concepts.

Skills Requirements

L3 Switching on Wireless LAN Technology

Job Summary:

This position is a Switching L3 role who will also be trained on the Wireless LAN Technology as well.

 

Individual Contributor Role

  • Work with a highly knowledgeable group of customers and partners. Be an escalation point for other TAC groups within the organization.
  • Troubleshoot complicated hardware and software issues, replicate customer environments and network problems in the lab.
  • Manage and own critical customer escalations. Facilitate, own and document communication among customers, escalation, and engineering.
  • Be a customer advocate for timely resolution of the problems reported, understand the environment/network and impact on business.
  • Take ownership for problem resolution, problem reproduction and escalation.
  • Be a fast learner and keep pace with newer technologies
  • Participate in cross-functional tasks such as new product development projects, create Knowledge Base and Whitepapers.
  • Help improve processes and tools.
  • Work Engineering, and Advance Services teams on critical customer escalations.

Experience:

Requires B.E. in Electronics/Engineering or Computer Science ( or equivalent) with a minimum of 9-10 years experience in the Networking Industry.

 

Following candidates having any of the following experience will be preferred and minimum experience criteria may not apply –

Experience: 8+ years experience in Troubleshooting Datacentre networks, Enterprise core networks.

Platform Knowledge: Juniper (routers, switches), Cisco, Arista, Alcatel, traffic generators (Ixia, Agilent)

Preferred Certifications – JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE/CCNA/CCNP/CCIE and other equivalents.
